Finding EE
The adventure starts with our group on the run from the monks of the locusts. Gwen is leading the charge down the mountain (except for Alexander who's further ahead already on horse). Sved pops out of the bottle. The rest this night is not too great and the food is even worse (no Jorr - he's in the bottle). Dry cheese... Once back in the city the group breaks up to find a way to get to EE. Brom and Sved head back to the "temple at the top of the hill" (that's the name Brom uses for it) to try to talk to a priest there. Once there Sved is entranced in the artwork, while Brom finds his trusted source of information (what did he look like again?) in a dark alcove. Brom reports on Alexanders apparent powers in the struggle at the temple, and gets directions on how to get to EE (take a ship turnwise). At this point Sved finds them, and is introduced to the "Black Sun".
In the meantime Alexander and Gwen head to the market and the docks to find out what they can. Alexander spends a great deal of time trying to sell a little glass bottle to a poor spice dealer (who is intrigued by the idea after a while though). Gwen finds some "goods", and has her hand ON the gold when she gets caught... a run through the market ensues (Alexander conveniently forgetting that he knows Gwen). She escapes. Alexander proceeds to find out where the ships leave from and then returns to the hotel.
The group decides to take a ship to the edge of the desert. They reach a port city and go to have dinner. Inexplicibly they hear the BBC news in the middle of a song by the band at the pub. Later at the hotel, they again hear the BBC news (they don't know what it is of course). The group discovers that the statues are apparently responsible for this odd behaviour. When they are separated to opposite corners of the room the "strange voices" stop. Alexander also realizes that two of the statues seem to fit together. In all the confusion Brom makes a terrible mistake by giving away his secret (spying on Alexander). To Brom's surprise Alexander seems pleased though and gives him enough money to get drunk (which is what he proceeds to do). Alexander secretly follows Brom and meets a wrinkled old man (they guy with the broom from before). His name is Lutzi. Unfortunately he doesn't know too much about the power of the statues. The next day the group leaves for the desert port. The statues are now carried as far appart as possible. Once they reach the desert port lots of discussion ensues about what to do (how does one get into EE?). Alexander almost wants to give up, and admits that a god might be talking to Brom (the Black Sun...). The rest of the group wants to go on though, and after some more arguing they arrange a ride on a ship that will drop them off close to EE. They also purchase a skiff.
Once off the ship everybody takes a ride in the skiff close to the shores of a jungle island. Brom and Gwen jump out and go onto the island, while Sved and Alexander go a bit further offshore to wait for them until midnight the following night. Brom and Gwen quickly separate (there's clearly no love lost here...). Brom meets a group of scantily clad women who carry some dangerous looking spears. He is brought to a room at the base of a pyramid. Gen in the meantime approaches the pyramid from a different side. Once she's disguised as a local amazon she proceeds to enter the main gate. The guards bow to her! Apparantly they think she's the queen! She can't understand a word of what they're saying, so that makes things a bit awkward. Brom in his room applies some body oil in the meantime (Alexander gave him that earlier). After a while he is brought to the "queen". She however has dissapeared from the throne room! Gwen in fact has entered the private quarters of the queen, and has found the bear (the last statue). She also puts on a dress. Her servants find her still believe she's the queen, although they're a bit surprised by her behaviour maybe (no talking... dress). She is lead to the top of the pyramid, where she is to judge on what to do with Brom. Here Gwen can speak (with the excuse that Brom won't be able to understand anything but Ank Morporkian). She eventually tells t he other women that while Brom does good manly work he may live, and that after that he will be thrown into the Volcano.
Things start to fall apart that evening though! The REAL queen emerges from the jungle and exposes Gwen! Brom is nearby in the throne room, and manages to convince the queen that he is not part of the plot (he spits on Gwen). He is then summoned to perform "manly duties" for the night in the Queen's room. Gwen is thrown into a prison cell. In the forest with Gwen's clothing a lonely bottle waits to release its occupant...
